Independent Living Skills & Training

Life should not be a spectator sport.

The Independent Living philosophy believes that everyone should have as robust and dynamic a lifestyle as they wish.  There is no reason that a disability should keep you from working toward your goals.  Independent Living (IL) Skills Training can help!

From managing a credit card, to cooking a delicious meal for your family, to finding your own apartment, IL Skills training can help you develop new skills or refresh old ones.  Individuals with disabilities can enjoy new activities, explore new hobbies, and develop in new ways.  All it takes is determination, effort, and training.

Your peer counselor or IL Skills Trainer are the experts on hand to develop a training program that is tailored to you and your individual goals.  What you choose to do is up to you.  We can help you plan on how you get there.
