How do you express yourself?
Do you paint? Write? Sculpt? Does your voice come out in your photography? Do you create in needlepoint, or build model airplanes, or knit? That creative drive can be powerful and no less so in individuals with disabilities. Artwork from artists with disabilities can be windows into their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.
Abilities in Motion (AIM) celebrates that creative drive in all of us with our annual ADA Celebration & Art Show. This community event showcases the diverse talents and passions of individuals with disabilities from throughout the region. It is an opportunity for painters, writers, photographers, and other creators with disabilities to display and sell their work. The Art Show also honors and celebrates the anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
Last year’s event attracted over 30 artists and hundreds of attendees. We hope this year’s event will be even bigger! The 2018 ADA Celebration & Art Show will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at the Inn at Reading, 1040 Park Road, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
We hope to see you there!
